Fall 2019 Recap
After being denied the chance to qualify for the National Tournament due to a rainout at Regionals last season, the Men's Club Soccer team came into the season with high expectations to get back to Nationals. BCFC put together their 4th straight undefeated season this year, finishing the regular season with a 7-0-3 record. Once again winning the Boston/Providence division, the team came up with some impressive wins down the stretch, including a 3-0 victory over rivals Northeastern. Upon arriving at the Regional Tournament, BCFC showed their depth after losing 3 starters due to injuries and other circumstances. They won their group with a 2-0-1 record, beating undefeated and #4 ranked Cornell in the process. The quarterfinal saw BCFC beat #14 ranked Fordham in a 2-1 win. BCFC then advanced to the regional semifinal with a spot at the National Tournament on the line, as Region 1 sends each semifinal winner to the National Tournament. Their 5th and final game against Drexel University saw tired legs for both sides and ended scoreless after regulation and overtime. Unfortunately, BCFC fell in penalties, 4-5. The team was disappointed to not qualify for the National Tournament on penalties, but takes pride in never losing a game in regulation all season.
